Bidding Prayers There are a couple of months still needing volunteers. Please - families, groups of friends, organisations - consider writing them and put your name on the (orange) list at the back of church.
Children's Books There is a rack of books for the younger children near the back of church. It is used by several children during Masses, particularly when there is no children's liturgy. - Parents, if you are having a sort-out of children's books at home, some fresh 'suitable' books would be most welcome. Please put them by the book rack. Thank you.
Woolly Hats On May 14th 106 Hats were taken to Liverpool, 80 being hats and 26 being balaclavas. The Chaplain thanked the Welsh contingent again and said how we would be pleased to see the men coming in and going to the tub with the knitted hats first, before even a cup of coffee. As they used to say in Ireland, "God bless The Work".
The Knights of St Columba On Thursday 24th May at 19.00hrs, The Knights of St Columba invite you to a family prayer gathering at Mold Convent next to St David's church, it won't last longer than 1 Hour & refreshments will be available. So please bring your spouse & children to this wonderful evening of prayer to Our Lady - It's an international action of Catholic Knights in honour of our patroness Mary Immaculate which is held every May.
Church Banner There will be a meeting in the Church on Monday 11th June at 7:00pm for anybody who is interested in the making of the Church Banner.
SVP -  Turning Concern Into Action A big thank you to all who supported our recent coffee morning for SVP Youth. You raised £147.61. Thank you also for supporting the Flintshire Foodbank with your donations. Our SVP member Judith is helping with this work. She writes: 'In the very short time since the collection tub was first placed at the back of church the amount of food collected after just 2 weeks weighed in at 28.2 kg. This is a wonderful demonstration of your generosity and we hope you will continue to support the Foodbank initiative both with your prayers and kind donations'. The Foodbank is continuing to arrange collections at local supermarkets and the following dates have been arranged: 26.05.12 Sainsbury's - Flint;    09.06.12 Tesco's - Mold;   23.06.12 Morrison's - Connah's Quay.
SVP Pilgrimage to Holywell Our annual SVP pilgrimage to Holywell takes place on Pentecost Sunday 27th May (next weekend). We will transport anyone who wishes to go to the Mass at 2.30pm followed by afternoon tea, returning home approx. 5pm. If you don't have transport and wish to go please ring 01352 755 067 as soon as possible so that lifts can be arranged.
Our Lady Statue - Quiet Area. We hope parishioners and visitors alike will enjoy using the quiet area for prayer and meditation that has been created by the statue of Our Lady. Please feel free to use the area and the Bible provided. You may wish to write your own private intentions on the prayer slips provided at the lectern. There is no need to put your name or anything to identify people on the slips.  The Lord will know exactly who is intended. Place the slip in the basket on the shelf below. The basket will be brought periodically to the Altar together with the Offertory.
